Jada Sims is a first-year PhD student in the Education Department at UCLA, specializing in Higher Education and Organizational Change. She holds BA’s in African American Studies and Political Science from Vanderbilt University where she competed as an heptathlete on the track and field team. also a board member of the National Black Student Achievement Association (NBSAA) and a graduate student researcher for the EDI office at UCLA
Sims also works as a graduate student researcher at UCLA EDI, has worked with UCLA’s Data X initiative, interned at National Women’s Law Center (2021), Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health (2022-2023); founded an after-school program for girls in Nashville called The Rise Up Project.
